关于VCO的PSS仿真的问题

有人知道在cadence下仿真VCO的f-v时,在pss设置里面shooting和flexible balance有什么区别吗?为什么仿真出来的曲线不同呢?谢谢

这两个选项没注意过,应该不用改。我以前仿真一直没动过这两个,也没看到过,在optiong里面?
另建议,如果是粗略的仿真,倒不如用tran跑,选moderate,用参数扫描Vcontrol,节省时间,又没有收敛问题,会有较小的相对误差,但是应该不影响整体结果

shooting是在时域上运算的,基于FFT,而Flex Balance是在频域上的,我只知道这么多,具体的算法还要请教懂simulator的高手。

shooting is a time-domain algorithm, while flexible balance is Harmonic Balance-based algorithm (ADS supports harmonic balance). They are just two different simulation engines. For shooting method, the simulation accuracy is independent of the harmonic number you select becasue time domain waveform automaitically contains a lot of harmonics. For harmonic balance, however,  the simulation accuracy is dependent on the harmoic number, because the system produces only the harmonics you select. There will be slight difference in the simulation results between these two methods, but the difference will be small if the harmonic number is selected to be high enough in Flexible Balance method.
