实际目前Bluetooth的70%是使用英国的CSR公司的产品，目前美国的RFMD也收购了一家公司做BT的芯片,如Si3500芯片组。蓝牙标准规定了很多的profile,实际就是蓝牙实现的某种特定功能包含规定的不同的profile.如立体声BT耳机的话，就包含A2DC（Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)的Profile。

推荐使用单芯片解决方案，主要供应商有：CSR、TI、RFMD等，除了芯片，另一个就是表贴天线（如果你不想和手机共用天线的话），还有就是注意一下PCB Layout就OK了，不是很难。

Now the main Stream Bluetooth chip suppliers include CSR, Broadcom, TI, RFMD, Infineon, Philips, ST and so on. For Mono headset, CSR share 85% market. RFMD also can provide total solution. For Stereo headset, CSR and Broadcom is still the main stream. For BT on mobile phone, Broadcom is very aggressive.which is used on Moto E680i. Besides LG and Samsung 3G phone also use Broadcom. but CSR is No.1. Nokia, Motorola, Samsung is using it.

For BT on mobile phone, you can use single chip solution, like CSR, TI, Broadcom, ST, Philips and so on. for external circuit, you just add antenna, Balun pass filter and crystal. for crystal, you also can share crystal from DBB. it is hardware design. for software design, it run on host. the interface with host is UART. Besides single chip solution, you can choose module, such as Samsung and Delta. but the cost is higher than chip solution. on MTK platform, the reference design is Delta module. the Delta module is based on CSR BC3-gateway solution.

For CSR BC3-gateway solution, the software include protocol stack and profile is on BT chip, not run on host. you just can use AT command from host to control BT through UART interface. Audio is through PCM inferface. it is easy. but the function is limited.
