Abstract：@@@@In this paper, the performance of the transmit diversity and the receive diversity are studied in the downlink of a WCDMA system, the analysis model can be extended to any number of transmit and receive antennas system, as well as the average symbol error rate performance on the effect of dissimilar received signal strengths at the mobile handset is studied.
