Abstract：With the development of material science,the light,portable and foldable reflector antenna has gradually extended and replaced the metal reflector antenna of solid surface on some special occasions.In this paper,the significance of the research on the foldable reflector antenna is described from the aspect of the need for technique development.The status and prospect of the development of the foldable reflector antenna is introduced from the aspects of its sort and the new opportunities brought by new materials
