基于IRA天线的辐射波模拟器天线辐射性能研究

Abstract:This paper presents a new kind of NEMP ( nuclear electromagnetic pulse) radiating-wave simulator based on impulse radiating antennas (IRA), which are usally used for ultra-wide band communication. Structure of this antenna is analyzed and four types of feed-arm are designed. Simulations are implemented to have a comparison with the radiant efficieneies, field waveforms and frequency-gain characteristic curves among the four types of antenna. Results suggest that : the antennas have lower radiant efficiency in the low-frequency domain and the antenna with tapered feeding arms can generate bet- ter far-field and near-field waveforms. IRAs take advantages of small volume and better directivity than cage antennas. If the low-frequency radiation performance can be enhanced, IRAs will make the ideal antenna used for radiating-wave simulator.
