How to define parameters for the components to optimize the layout?

I am using IHP's SG13G2 Process Design Kit. When I am trying to define parameter for the transmission line, MOSFET and other components in the layout so that I can optimize it, an error message that is :cannot define parameter for cell with CDF definitionis displayed.
Please help me in solving this problem.
