How to export layout to schematic
I am trying to export my layout to a symbol and simulate itin a schematic. The attached screenshots show the layout and its S11. I export it to a symbol and try to use it in a schematic, but the schematic simulation result does not match the layout simulation result.

From what you posted, I don't see the mistake. Can you created a packed project and upload here?

I attached all my files in the first post.
Regardless of [2_coil] and [4_coil] since those are my tests for the multi-coil system.
[0002C_to_layout] and [0002L_to_layout] are two spiral coils that I designed (a 7-turn coil and a one-turn loop).
[0002L_symobol] is exactly same with [0002L_to_layout]. The reason I created it was because I didn't want to mess up my [0002L_to_layout].
Then, I utilize the symbol generated from [0002L_symbol] in the [test], and that's where my screenshot of this query post came from.
Attached is the workspace where I fixed your mistake. The "test" testbench gives correct results with the attached workspace.
Your mistake is that the cell requires an emModel view that holds the EM simulation result, and must not have a schematic view. The testbench must be in another cell.
To create the emModel view, open the emSetup view and go to the model tab. There, you can create an emModel view, and make sure it is updated when you launch EM simulations manually.
The emModel view is the container that holds EM simulation results. If you have both schematic view and emModel view, it get's more complicated. I will skip that case here, because you don't need a schematic in your 0002L cell. The testbench must be in another cell.
I also made a few changed to your emSetup settings: solver RF mode is sufficient and much faster, adaptive sweep instead of discrete frequencies.

I am right now working on the EMPro, and try to model another coil in my lab. This coil will also connect to capacitors to tune the self-resonant frequency. I might (or definitely) encounter someproblems, but I will try to figure it out by myself first. One bad thing is no one in my lab is experienced in ADS or EMPro, but one cool thing is I can get really helpful advances here in the community! Thanks again, Volker!
