Typical package models

录入:edatop.com    点击:
In the first ADS version there was a typical package layout models, of DIP, SOT, SOIC TO.... etc layouts. That is possible to associate to a schematic component in order to make autolayout masks. In the new version 2014 and 2015 I cant find them. Are they included? How can I point to them in the case they exist?
Thanks
Amparo

I find this guide onto ADS documentation, Using SMT Package Artwork as Artwork Replacement, but if I follow the recomendation is imposible to define the correct SOT-23 to a BJT transistor. In the previous ADS versions, I choosed the component and with the right button of the mouse I define component artwork, and I have the possibility of choose one in a list...
Is it possible now?

The same is possible in later versions of ADS but the procedure is slightly different.

1. In the schematic view either select the symbol for the device to be modified and select the menu command Edit > Component > Edit Component Artwork... or right-click on the symbol and select Component > Edit Component Artwork... in the pop-up menu.

2. In the next window set the Artwork Type to Fixed and for Artwork Name at the bottom select Browse.

3. Initially this next window only shows cells from the current library. In the top right check the box labelled Show ADS libraries. In the Library list that appears in the left column find and select the ads_designs library. Now in the center column you should see the list af all the available fixed artwork cells. Scroll down and select the outline required and then OK and OK again.

Now when the layout for this component is generated it will use the selected artwork style.
