AMP2 statistics

Using the AMP2 model in ADS2012v08;
When expressing gain as dbpolar(), I can't add statistics because the Tune, Opt, Stats, DOE windows are all grayed-out.
The only way I can add statistics to the element is if I express gain as S(2,1) i.e.,linear voltage gain. Is this intentional or a glitch?
