Measuring Impedance at a point

录入:edatop.com    点击:
Hi,

I want to measure the impedance at one point in ADS. I am not able to do that. Please suggest an option to measure impedance at this point. I have attached a screenshot. I want to measure the impedance at the points where i have attached the ports.

Thank you

You can calculate impedance by inserting a named node and a current probe. I would call the named node something like "V1" or "Vg" (not "Z1" or "Z2" as you have done), and call the current probe something suitable. Then use an equation on the schematic or in the data display to calculate the ratio of the voltage to current to get the impedance. In some cases (usually DC), it is possible to get the pin currents, in which case you might not need a current probe. You have to be careful about the direction of the current probe and where you place it, exactly. This will not work if you are doing only an S-parameter analysis.
