[ADS] Transistor S-parameters for common base?

录入:edatop.com    点击:
Hi everyone!

I?ve been experimenting with some common base transistor amplifiers in ADS ? and I thought I would download the S-parameters for another transistor and see how it would do in the same circuit. All transistor S-parameters seem to be generated with respect to a common emitter ? does this make them unusable in other configurations? Should I float the ground reference (in the 2-port ADS data item) and ?pretend? it?s the emitter?

I found a paper (first Google hit) aptly titled ?Working with transistor S-parameters?

[link to IEEE paper deleted]

but the math is too complex for me ? even though I hope to master RF-math in the not-too-distant future. Should I somehow recalculate the S-parameters?

Any help is very much appreciated.

hi annor,
you need to request s-parameter for common base from supplier. there is no other way to convert common emitter to common base!
