Ads time domail reflectometry

Hi everyone,
I want to simulate transmission line discontinuities in ADS for a project using transission line reflectometry. How can I do that in ADS?

I am not quite sure that I got your quetion right. If you want to simulate in @DS time domain response of transmission lines to compare it with time domain measurements, you might run into troubles. I tried some time domain simulations in that program some time ago (2002 version) and I found that transmission lines themselves have good models that can work with time domain simulator. However, discontinuites like bends, tees and steps were not modeled properly and I got very strange results when using them. Things might improved meanwhile.

You have to attach time domain sources and use time domain simulator (SPICE-like). The rest you can find in @DS manuals.

Actually in ADS example directory, they do have an example on how to set up such a TDR simulation. It bascially is a transient simulation.
