Measuring average power in ADS
I need to measure average power of my rectifier circuit in ADS, i tried to use P_probe. but it's not average power. There are some equations to measure average power, i think. Please help with the equations. Thanks in advance

Your circuit appears to be a capacitor-based voltage multiplier. Current is drawn from the supply in quick bursts at the peak of the AC waveform. It is difficult to obtain an average current level. You might get success if you:
* Install a full diode bridge which draws current from the supply
* Add a smoothing capacitor and resistive load
* Adjust values so that your initial load drops to half as many Amperes as it did before
* Doing the above steps splits the power equally to your measuring circuit, and to your initial circuit.
Then your measuring circuit draws smooth voltage and current waveforms, making it easy to calculate its average power draw. Multiply by 2 to obtain initial draw of your initial circuit.
What power do you intend to evaluate, input or output ?
It is average power, as far as you specify harmonic index correctly.
Here I assume you do HB Analysis.
Your RF input is two tones, 0.9GHz and 1.8GHz of Pin[dBm] as available power.
Output has no DC path.
So P_probe1[0]=0.
Show me harmonic index for P_probe2 and P_probe1.
You should not treat 0.9GHz and 1.8GHz by two tone HB Anaslysis, since 1.8GHz=2*0.9GHz.
You should treat 0.9GHz and 1.8GHz by one ton HB Analysis with fund=0.9GHz.
sum(P_probe1) and sum(P_probe2) might be appropriate.

Hi
Sorry for late response. Here i attach my P_probe1 and P_Probe2Attachment 147414. I showed P_probe output to my professor. he is saying as it is not average power. i need to work with equations. Totally confused.
Thanks

Power Probe computes this equation and this is the literally Average Power Definition
P=1/2xRe{V*xI}=1/2xRe{VxI*}
Here V and I Complex Quantities. They should be indexed so the Average Power is calculated for which harmonic index is interested in.(or left for all harmonics)
No.
It gives average power, as far as you do HB Analysis.

sum(P_probe) might be appropriate rather than specif harmonic power.
I have created a setup for your information.as you may see both results ( using with equation and using with P_probe component) are same=1mW that is Available Power from the Source.
