help to understand the results in ADS momentum

I have designed a microstrip line inset fed patch antenna. I simulated it in ADS.

The results obtained from the 3D radiation pattern ( port impedance = 50 ohms; Exitation voltage = 1 volt):

gain= 8.66 dB

directivity = 9.78668 dB

Power radiated = 1.02986 mW.

Results obtained from the 2D radiation pattern:

efficiency = 77 %.

From the basics (like gain, directivity, efficiency relation,) i know, i could not relate them.

For instance

1. efficiency = (radiated power/ input power)
here, input power = 0.4 W ( as 60% power is reflected from the given 1 W)
total radiated power (got from the simulation)= 1.02986 mW.
=> efficiency = 0.257 %, which is contrast to 77 % (from simulation results)

2. wondering why gain is not in dBi.

HELP!

Thanks

anyone?

1V into 50 ohm - why do you think that source power is 1 Watt?
Gain is in dBi (dB over isotropic reference).

I think its not 1W!

As, input voltage = 1 V
s11=0.40 (40 percent power is reflected) at .922 MHz => net input voltage = 0.6V.

Input power = (Vsquare)/R = (0.6square)/50 = 7.2mW =>still efficiency is not 77%

correct me if i am wrong

thanks

Am still waiting......
