use SDD to generate noise in ADS

录入:edatop.com    点击:
can you give an example , how to use SDD(Symbolically Defined Devices) is ADS to generate noise

Do you need small signal noise in frequency domain ?

Or do you need large signal noise in time domain ?

for the large and small signal :)

Why don't you use the followings ?

These are valid as small signal noise in frequency domain for AC, SP, HB and ENV Analyses.

These are also valid as large signal noise in time domain for TRAN and ENV Analyses.

If you would like to use "SDD", use "SDD1P" with following settings.

I[1,0]=0
In[1,0]=I_Noise

I_Noise ; Noise Current in [A/sqrt(Hz)]

This realize same function as http://edocs.soco.agilent.com/displa...rent+Source%29

Thanks you, you gave me the help of ADS, but it's not helpful (for noise in SDD)
Can you give me an example plz?

Surely read my append.
Apart from noise expression in "SDD", do you understand "SDD" ?

Ok , I know that, :)
I have I_Noise=Kf*I/(1+noisefreq)
can I use the noisefreq gived by the HB simulator directly ?

I think you have to use "freq" instead of "noisefreq".

Why don't you use following inside SDD instead of In[1,0] ?

I use "I[1,0]" for describing nonlinear relation between V and I.
But I don't use "In[1,0]" for noise expression.
Instead I use "I_NoiseBD" parallel to port-1 of SDD1P.

Thanks for your reply.
I have I_Noise=Kf*I(t)^Af/(1+freqnoise^Af)
and I(t)=Idc+Iac

so I can't use directly the I_noiseBD, because the Ie is for dc current only

What is "freqnoise" ?
You have to use "freq" even for noise current expression.

But I don't think I(t) in noise expression does work in any analysis of Agilent ADS from principle of analysis engine.

I use the HB simulator to simulate the steady state of oscillator, when I activated the noise simulation, I Have HB.freq and HB.noisefreq, I know that I can use only freq in weighting factor.
I want also to simulate the phase noise so I implement the Low-Frequency noise sources in the transistor (these sources are cyclostanionnary i.e. dependents on time), so the Dc current must be replaced by the instantaneous current.

"freq" and "noisefreq" are both system variable in Agilent ADS.
But you have to use "freq" even for noise expression.
Simply consider noise simulation of RF-RX mixer, "noisefreq" is set as IF frequency.
But noise frequency of RF input is not "noisefreq".

No.

Again, time domain current in noise expression does not work in any analysis of Agilent ADS from principle of analysis engine.

Cyclostatinary noise is expressed as correration in frequency domain simulator.

how is it expressed ? :?
