MWO design of Inductor on flexible substrate
I need help for MWO schematic editor for designing RFID rectangular microstrip inductor.
Why doesn't my inductor usually behavior? no has inductive and capacitive character, but only has a capacitive character.
thanks in advance.
In the microstrip substrate that you have defined, there is ground at 75μm distance underneath the inductor. This behaves capacitive indeed.
Probably, but not sure.
If i changed on 2mm situation is the same. Flexible substrate is thin, around 50-125um. Capacitive character! another suggestion?
I cant find SUB without background metallization. It is perhaps a problem.
Thanks.
Sure, but it does not have backside ground. Using the microstrip models is not appropriate.
It is for sure the problem. If you don't have an appropriate model, you can use the EM solver, or in this case use textbook equations for inductors without a ground below.

Thanks for quick reply.
Almost, I am using EM solver, but time is limit :) I am familiar with inductor equations, but RFID is now for me, because low frequency and bigger dimension of coil.
Thanks again.
