Senior Engineer, Connectivity Software
We are looking for outstanding employees to join us as full-time Senior Engineer, Connectivity Software.Successful candidates will have developed high-performance, stable software that has been successfully deployed in a global product. You will have a system-wide, architectural view of the solutions that you build. You will also have strong technical ability, a focus on the customer experience, great teamwork and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
You will work as part of an exceptional team at our development centre in Beijing, China, launching and growing new products for Nokia’s Smart Device business. You will play a key contributor role in your team – as they will look to you for advice on the mobile technology.You will be a pivotal team player and able to deploy your initiatives, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success. You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to software development across a variety of technologies. Your software will need to meet remarkably high standards of performance and reliability, and will operate a global scale.

Your Qualifications and Experience
5+ years’ experience in an embedded senior software engineering/development role, a Computer Science Honours degree or postgraduate study (applicants with a degree in a related discipline who have demonstrated a strong grounding in Computer Science and significant experience in Software Engineering will also be considered).
Essential skills:
• Strong experience in C/C++ programming, systems knowledge or background applicable to local connectivity software development, especially WLAN, Bluetooth, and NFC software
• Strong hands-on software debugging skills on embedded real time operating systems and experience with software/hardware integration
• Experience with common embedded hardware architectures (ARM)
• Familiar with one of embedded RTOS platforms, such as Windows Phone,S30/S40/ Symbian,Android, or iOS
• Previous experience in writing and debugging WLAN, Bluetooth, and NFC software on a mobile phone platform
• Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal English communications skills
• Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
