HFSS15: Anisotropic Relative Permeability Tensors
The permeability tensor for an anisotropic material is described by
where
m1 is the relative permeability along one axis of the material’s permeability tensor.
m2 is the relative permeability along the second axis.
m3 is the relative permeability along the third axis.
m0 is the permeability of free space.
The relationship between B and H is:
To specify the relative permeability for an anisotropic material, enter the m1, m2, and m3 values in the Value boxes of the T(1,1), T(2,2), and T(3,3) rows, respectively. If the relative permeability is the same in all directions, use the same value for m1, m2, and m3. These values can also be entered as variables.
