HFSS15: Complex Propagation Constant
Each port is assumed to be connected to a transmission structure that has the same cross-section as the port. The complex propagation constant, g, of these transmission lines is computed by HFSS, and is given by g = a + jb, where:
a is the attenuation constant of a signal in the transmission structure. It is the real component of the propagation constant and has units of nepers per meter.
b is the phase constant associated with the wave. It is the imaginary component of the propagation constant and has units of radians per meter.
Under the Matrix Data tab of the Display Items Dialog, gamma can be displayed as magnitude/ phase, real/ imaginary, magnitude, phase, real, or imaginary.
