HFSS15: Setting up HFSS-IE and Running Distributed Memory Solutions

After setting up your HFSS-IE project normally you will need to set the list of machines used for the distributed memory solution process and turn on the distributed memory option.

The distributed machine list is set under Tools/Options/General Options/Analysis Options/ HFSS-IE:

Distributed memory solutions are turned on using a checkbox and radio button on the Options tab of the Solution Setup dialog. Right click on an analysis setup in the Project Manager, select Properties and go to the Options tab. Turn on Advanced Options and select the "Use distributed memory IE solver" radio button.

Note that turning on distributed memory solutions on the Options tab of Solution Setup dialog will turn off distributed frequency solutions. Distributed frequency solutions are also known as "DSO" solutions.
