HFSS15: Setting the Temporary Directory Using the GUI

As for other options, the Temporary Directory may be viewed or set using the Desktop GUI. In the Tools>Options>General Options dialog, the Temp Directory setting appears in the Directories group box on the Project Options tab. Activating the Override checkbox allows you to enter a desired directory pathname in the edit box or to click on the "..." button to bring up a directory file browser dialog, from which you can select a temp directory. Values set in this manner are written to the user_machine level configuration file for the Temporary Directory. If the Override checkbox is unchecked, then when the OK button is pressed, the user_machine level setting for the Temporary Directory is changed to an empty string. This enables setting from the next highest precedence config file. The config file which provides the currently active Temporary Directory setting is shown under the Temp Directory edit box in the Project Options tab of the General Options dialog, if the Override checkbox is unchecked.
