How to eliminate unconnected geometry edges in FEKO?

录入:edatop.com     点击:
Hello,

I have a model which I imported into FEKO and have trouble generating a correct mesh because I have unconnected geometry edges in the model. These edges are located in places where two faces should be connected.

How can I eliminate these unconnected edges, the easiest way?

Thanks.

Hi,

if the nodes are not too far apart, you can try merging the nodes. This will connect nodes within a certain tolerance. Otherwise, go back to geometry, union all parts and remesh. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the advice. I tried it, but it seems that the problem is in the model itself and not in the mesh.

So, I need a way to connect two edges of two faces that are very near, but not connected in the model. This is why the mesher creates many free edges on this place.

Hi drasko,

if you are able to post your model or a simple example geomentry file describing your problem we may be able to help you do that.

You can try the stitch sheet parts tool.

Hi,

the stitch option is in version 5.4, right?

I am still on 5.3, but OK the next one will come in some future.

I am not able to upload the model in its entirety, but I am uploading just a part where the problem exists.

Regards

Stitch was added a bit after the initial 5.3 came out. An update was made available on the FEKO website where members could download it. It is CADFEKO version 3.0.6

mvr is right. Stitch works. Attached parasolid so you can re-import into cadfeko.
