CST2013: Time Window
Post Processing: Signal Post Processing Time Signals Time Window
A Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) is used to calculate frequency domain signals like the S-parameters from the time signals. In this dialog box, you may select the windowing function for the DFT.
Window type frame
Rectangular:
Sets a rectangular windowing function.
The end of simulation is identical with tmax. |
Cosine:
Sets a squared cosine windowing function. This function is defined by:
| t < to
tmax > t > to
t > tmax
|
Smoothness
Enter a value to vary the smoothness. With this setting, you may specify when the cosine shape starts. At a value of 100%, t0 equals zero and at a value of 0%, t0 is equal to tmax, which means that it is identical to a rectangular window.
Apply during calculation
If you want to watch the smoothed frequency domain results during the calculation, check here. Note that the cosine window is slower and so will slow down the calculation.
OK
Press this button to apply your settings.
Preview
Press this button to preview the results of your settings. This option is very useful to check the settings before you actually apply them. After you close the dialog box using the Cancel button, your old settings will be restored.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.
