CST2013: Check Model Edge Length

Analyze the edge length distribution in the model and highlight edges shorter than specified  tolerance. This functionality can be helpful when finding the reason for low quality elements in the mesh or for other meshing problems. Model edge length distribution can also be used in order to determine the size of the smallest significant feature in the model and find a good value for small feature suppression setting.

Maximum length

Specifies the tolerance for picking of edges.

Power of 10

Value specified in the "Maximum length" field is the power of 10 of the edge length. The value can be read directly from the histogram which uses decimal logarithm of the edge size.

OK

Pick edges shorter than specified tolerance.

Cancel

Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.
