Use this dialog to globally reduce the complexity of your model.
Settings apply to
Solver: The simplification is used for the selected solver only.
Mesh: The settings are used for the displayed mesh type only.
General
Simulate lossy dielectrics as lossfree: All lossy normal materials are treated as lossfree. In the Time Domain solver, the epsilon and mue infinity values of the dispersive material model are considered. The Frequency Domain, Integral Equation, and Eigenmode solvers take into account the dispersion of the real part of the complex permittivity and permeability only. This applies if the default settings are active. For a comparision with the Time Domain solver, please enable the Time Domain compatibility option for materials in the corresponding solver specials.
Simulate surf. impedance as PEC: All surface impedance materials (i.e. Lossy metal, Corrugated wall, Ohmic sheet and Tabulated surface impedance as well as coated materials) are treated as PEC.
Wires
Zero wire radius: The wire radius is globally set to zero for all wires. (This setting is only available for hexahedral mesh.)
Apply thin wire model to solid wires: Ignore all solid wire definitions.
Simulate lossy metal as PEC: All lossy wires are treated as PEC.
