CST2013: Chamfer Edges

Modeling: ToolsBlendChamfer Edges

In this dialog box you may chamfer previously selected edges (several edges may be chamfered at once) by defining a chamfer width and a chamfer angle. The operation may fail if the chamfer can not be placed on the selected solid.

Chamfer Width

Specify a valid expression for the chamfer width. The chamfer width is the distance between the original edge and the edges created by the chamfer operation.

Angle

Specify a valid expression for the chamfer angle. The chamfer angle is aligned at the chamfer width.

Invert orientation

There are two possibilities the chamfer width and the angle can be applied to the selected edge. Once is to the right and once is to the left of the selected edges. This checkbox is to apply the specified settings to the other direction.

OK

Press this button to perform the chamfer operation. When the operation fails, an error message will appear and all changes to the model will be discarded.

Preview

Press this button to create a preview of the chamfer operation. This option is very useful to check the settings before you actually execute the chamfer operation.

Cancel

Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.
