CST2013: Materials / General nth Order
Home: MacrosMacrosMaterialsCreate General nth Order Material
This macro allows to create a dispersive material using a general nth order model for the permittivity, see “Material Overview (HF)”. Poles are entered sequentially by the user and combined at the end.
Material name: The material will be added to the navigation tree under this name.
epsilon_inf: The epsilon value at infinity. If the material is anisotropic, enter epsilon separately for x, y, and z. Values need to be larger or equal to one.
Anisotropic: Check this box if you wish the material to be anisotropic.
To add a pole:
1) Choose if the pole should be of first or second order.
2) Enter values for the alphas and betas.
3) If the material is anisotropic, use the radio buttons next to the “Anisotropic” checkbox to select which coordinate the pole belongs to.
4) Add the pole using the “Add Pole” button
Repeat these steps until all poles have been added.
Create: Prepares the VBA commands to create the material and displays them. Confirmation will combine the poles and make the material available for modeling and simulation.
