CST2013: Farfield / Slant Polarization
Home: MacrosMacrosFarfield / Slant Polarization
Farfield data output provided by CST MWS is related to spherical coordinates Theta and Phi. Many times farfield data for different polarization directions is required. The macro projects the global farfield data such as directivity(theta, phi) onto user given polarization planes along a path.
The definition of the global spherical coordinate system and the location and orientation of the slanted co/cross coordinate system is shown here:
The input data requires basically the farfield monitor and the elevation angle (slant angle) referred to the global theta=90deg plane. Paths run along either phi=const or Theta=const similar to the far field dialog. All computed data is available in ASCII format and are stored under the prefix ”Output Filename”.
The output data is accessible under 1D Results for both, Slant-Polarization and Ludwig 3. The available curves are of type ”xy linear” and ”polar”, For Ludwig 3 the ratio of co and cross is given as additional option.
