CST2013: S-Parameters / Coil-Parameters (1- or 2-port)

This result template calculates the R-, L- or Q-value of a coil device using S-/ Y-Parameters. It uses the formulation of Y11, which allows application for one port as well as for two port structures.
The Coil Q factor is calculated from Q = abs (Y11_im / Y11_re)
In case of a 2-port device with a common ground between port 1 and port 2, the following equivalent circuit shows how R and L are calculated:
Y11 = i1 / v1 under the assumption of v2=0
In case of a 2-port device without a common ground between port 1 and port 2, the following equivalent circuit shows how R and L are calculated:
R will then represent the sum of R1 and R2, also L = L1+L2
