  • Create the model in CST MICROWAVE STUDIO.

  • Define all solver specific setting that are needed for the high frequency problem type.

    • Define specific material properties if necessary.

    • Define all sources for the high frequency problem.

  • Switch to "Low Frequency" problem type.

  • Define all solver specific settings that are needed for the magnetostatic problem.

    • Define static field sources.

  • Switch back to "High Frequency" problem type.

  • Start the high frequency solver. -> If enabled, the magnetostatic solver is started automatically

Currently this kind of coupling is available on TET mesh for the general purpose frequency domain solver.

After the simulation has finished, the B-field of the magnetostatic simulation is added to the result tree of the high frequency problem.

Since the magnetostatic solver is started on a copy of the current project, besides the B-Field monitor no other result of the static solver run is accessible in the project.

The grid used for the magnetostatic solver run is the same as the starting grid of the high frequency solver. It may only be different at solid with PEC material.
