Each part that is going to be snapped will be automatically positioned onto the neighboring part as indicated by the connector lines (links). If possible, the user may now specify a rotation by picking points/edges or by hitting the TAB key for 90° rotations. The BACKSPACE key will take the user back to the previous steps of the alignment mode (selecting faces for the snapping itself).

After confirming an alignment step by either hitting the RETURN key or by picking two points/edges, the next part that is to be aligned will be pre positioned. The mode ends as soon as there are no more parts to be snapped or as soon as the user hits the ESC key.
