You may select Materials in the navigation tree to update the properties of all materials or select one or more materials to update their properties from the material library. If the selected material exists in the material library with the same name then its properties are used to update the properties of the selected material, otherwise this dialog is opened.

In this dialog it is possible to select any material and then its properties are used to update the properties of the material selected in the navigation tree.

The caption of the dialog specifies for which material the properties will be updated.

Material library

The list in this section shows all materials stored in the database. Displayed is the name of the material, the type and the location of the currently active material set.

Use filter

Tick the check box to filter the list of materials by their material name and by their type.

Material

Enter an expression to filter the materials by their name.

Type

Select a type from the drop-down list or enter an expression to filter the materials by their type.

Filter

Apply the settings.

Find...

Search for a specific material. Check 'Match case' to do a case-sensitive search.

Material properties to be used for update

Name

Shows the name of the material to be used for update. This field is for information only.

Type

Shows the material type of the currently active material set of the material to be used for update. The type shown depends on the currently active problem type.  This field is for information only.

Material set

Shows the problem types of all available material sets of the material to be used for update. This field is for information only.

Attributes

Shows the attributes of the currently active material set of the material to be used for update. This field is generated automatically and is for information only.

Description

Shows the description of the material to be used for update. This field is for information only. It is possible to describe the material with unique words and it can be edited while adding a material to the library.

Apply and Update Next

Updates the properties of the material shown in the caption with the properties of the selected material, closes the dialog box, and opens this dialog with the next material which has to be updated.

Cancel

Closes this dialog box without performing any further action, and cancels the entire updating process.
