CST MW 2D simulation

Dear All,
is there any way to simulate a resonant cavity in 2D, rather than 3D in CST ?
Also, how to excite it properly ?

Answer of your question to simulate cavity in 2D mode like in ABCI, ECHO MAFIA etc is no as there is no way to tell CST that this thin sheet should be treated as cavity.
But there are some ways to work around this problem which can greatly help you to use the same 2D drawing to make 3D geometry rather you will enter just one part of 2D drawing and rest will be done with simple CST commands.
On simulation side you can use symmetry plans with them you can ask CST to just simulate a part of cavity to give you complete results which save lot of computer resources and time.
