CST EM Studio Low Frequency Solver problem

Hi guys,
I am very new to CST Studio and have been trying to learning so that I can apply it to a research project that I am working on. The problem I am running into is that the LF Solvers are always grey'd out and un-selectable. This is even after I follow the quick start guide steps and it tells me to start the solver.
Is there a common mistake that I could be making?
It seems to me that the problem is a result of the sources. Essentially I want to put a charge on one side of a simulated object and watch as the current travels through the object, which source is this? The current or voltage along a path does seem correct as I want it to propagate through the material.
