CST simulation 1D results (Port Signals)
I simulated a simple IFA antenna in CST Microwave studio. I'm using descrete port.
I come across the 1D results which have the Port Signals, Smith Chart & etc.
I just don't understand what is the result in Port Signals will tell me? it is in Time domain signal. I believe it is related to the transient solver thing, but I want to understand what the result means to me.
futhermore, what about the Balance and Energy result?
thanks,

anyone knows it ? thanks
Hi,
I am doing a project using the port signals to help me locate a possible tumour within a simplified model of fat (i.e model a leg/body part as a cylinder with skin and a tumour).
From my research so far, I assume that the port signals are transmitting a signal that you have defined (i.e Gaussian) through the boundary and then the output signal (o1,1) in the case of a single co-located antenna receives the backscatter signal that technically should contain the information about where the tumour is present. I am doing research based on this assumption but have had nothing substantial to prove this besides an obvious time delay.
I am trying to use this information currently, if anybody knows any more about it can they let me know please.
Cheers,
Akhil
