Adding attenuation effect on signal in CST
录入:edatop.com 点击:
Hi all,
I just started using CST and have some silly questions...
As title suggests, I am trying to apply an attenuation on an incoming signal from a port. Instead of drawing a 100m long coaxial cable I was wondering if there is an attenuator of some kind that does the same trick to attenuate the signal. Any thoughts?
Thanks alot!

You can add a shorter transmission line with higher losses by using a custom material with higher dielectric constant.
Use schematic symbols (in schematic view not 3d view) like resistors and model your attenuator and after this run em-simulation.
Why?
I mean ... why do you want to include this in the EM simulation?
