In case you have not received this service pack automatically through CST's Automatic Update System, please follow these steps to install it:
- Download zip-file and extract the contained ".sup"-file without changing its name.Start CST Update Manager (Start -> All Programs -> CST STUDIO SUITE™ 2010 -> CST Update Manager)Press button "Import" and browse/select the downloaded ".sup"-file.Select latest service pack line by mouse click and press "Install".The service pack installation will only modify the existing installation. The installation automatically updates all CST STUDIO SUITE™ products (CST MICROWAVE STUDIO®, CST PARTICLE STUDIO®, CST EM STUDIO®, CST PCB STUDIO™, CST CABLE STUDIO™, CST MPHYSICS STUDIO™, CST MICROSTRIPES™, and CST DESIGN STUDIO™). Additionally it will always update and restart all CST Distributed Computing services.

Modeler / Structure Visualization / Imports
Adjusted procedure of face port creation to deal with very small ports.
Fixed special issue when bending on a planar face where the sheet already lies on.
Adjusted behavior of background material creation during project open in case of FPBA and a PCB import.
Repaired an issue when editing certain rotate objects.
EDA Imports
Added automatic port creation to PCB import. New Feature!
Repaired creation of oblong pad shape for antipads in Cadence import.
Corrected pad connectivity in Cadence import.
Missing or corrupted board outline in PADS and Cadence import is now recreated automatically.
Corrected visualization of die stack layers for Cadence SiP import in PCB import dialog box.
Added healing function to repair touching circular antipads. New Feature!
Added straight line geometry option as fall-back solution for etch creation during PCB import.
Distributed Computing (DC)
Enabled GPU computing with DC for Windows Vista and higher operating systems. New Feature!
Improved file transfer speed for Windows operating systems.
Assured integrity of jobs in DC Main controller.
Number of frequency samples in CST DS cache were not updated correctly when using distributed frequency samples.
CST MWS parameterized block in CST DS did not start a DC calculation when used on a canvas with a schematic block.
Repaired calculation of multiple goals if optimized with DC.
Hexahedral (Hex) Mesh
Connectivity information is now calculated correctly if two lumped elements touch each other at terminal locations.
CST MICROWAVE STUDIO - Transient Solver
Increased time domain solver performance for new Intel CPUs (Westmere processor) on Windows.
Repaired issue in the import of MPI machine files.
Corrected handling of dispersive materials for post processing and coupled simulations.
Fixed error in PML setup for time domain solver when magnetic symmetry is used.
Repaired setup of dispersive materials for GPU computing.
Fixed error in parallelization of lossy metal.
Improved setup of a super imposed plane wave.
Repaired the disabled AR-filter start button for simultaneous or plane wave excitations.
CST MICROWAVE STUDIO - Frequency Domain (FD) Solvers
Improved stability of the tetrahedral FD solver when reading mesh files with three-fold periodicity.
When distributing only two frequency samples, the frequency sweep sometimes stopped after only three samples. One of the samples was calculated twice.
Distributed computing 1D results were missing in the ASCII and SQL storage mode when the adaptive mesh refinement of the tetrahedral FD solver was turned off.
Field monitors added after the end of frequency distributed computing were sometimes not added to the result tree.
Loss monitors are now also written for tensor formula materials.
For unit cells with negative sine of theta, Floquet mode excitation phase and Floquet farfield calculation were inconsistent.
Periodic problems with solid lossy metal touching the lower periodic or unit cell boundary plane sometimes caused an error message referring to an Unknown dof type.
CST MICROWAVE STUDIO - Integral Equation Solver
Improved port mode calculation in MPI mode.
CST MICROWAVE STUDIO - Asymptotic Solver
Added ability to define multiple polarizations for incident plane waves. New Feature!
CST PARTICLE STUDIO Solvers
Phase space plots now are correctly initialized to have square-markers of size 2 by default.
Ensure correct data order in result files for the PIC collision detection.
Added missing collision info file for the GUN solver file in mesh adaptation mode.
CST MPHYSICS Solvers
Improved warning message for thermally non conductive background material.
Fixed problem with loss import of power densities in thermal solver.
Fixed problem with symmetries for transient thermal monitors.
CST PCB STUDIO
Fixed issue concerning missing component pins when importing LDB files with original data from ODB++.
Repaired problems with reading negative rotation angles.
CST MICROSTRIPES
Corrected position of discrete ports and lumped elements when imported from CST MWS.
CST DESIGN STUDIO
Improved S-parameter calculation for combine results.
Repaired issue when switching results of S-parameter watches to Smith chart view.
Improved handling of CST MWS blocks when using combine results.
Change probe direction was not recognized by template based post processing.
Fixed problem with local voltage and current units in transient task.
Repaired result file deletion on delete results for linked results.
Fixed restoring of missing files from internal cache in CST DS sub blocks.
Repaired issue with setting units by VBA command,
Post Processing / Fields
Added linear scaling option for farfields. New Feature!
Scaling of the farfield ASCII export is now independent from the selected component.
Repaired issue with non ASCII names of components when using the new 3D field visualization engine.
Result Templates / VBA / Macros / External Data Access
Added VBA command Port.GetFacePortArea to determine the area of a discrete face port. New Feature!
New VBA commands XAutoTick, YAutoTick, XLogarithmic, YLogarithmic, UseCurveSmoothing and ShowReferenceCircle" added to the Plot1D object. New Feature!
Repaired VBA command GetFieldVector for 2D planes.
The type is now correctly copied in the method Result3D.CopyFrom.
Added VBA command to deliver surface losses from a QFactor calculation. New Feature!
